Role Description

The Senior Manager of Grants and Partnerships is a strategic leader responsible for advancing the mission of Children’s Home Society of North Carolina (CHS) through the development and execution of sustainable funding strategies and collaborative partnerships. This role leads efforts to identify, secure, and steward funding opportunities from a diverse portfolio of sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate partners. The Senior Manager oversees the full grants lifecycle, including:

• Opportunity research
• Prospect cultivation
• Proposal development
• Grant writing
• Budget coordination
• Submission management
• Compliance monitoring
• Reporting

Working collaboratively across the organization and with external stakeholders, this position builds and strengthens strategic partnerships that support organizational priorities necessary to sustain and grow CHS programs, services, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public policy, social sciences, or a relevant field required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in grant-funded revenue generation, program development, and/or partnership management, with a demonstrated track record of achieving measurable results.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills; resources development and budget development experience a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of human service systems for youth, young adults, and families and an ability to bring together and collaborate with diverse community partners.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven effective organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Applications as well as electronic data systems, time sheets, expense reports, and use of virtual platforms for meetings).
• Ability to work independently from a home office and maintain adherence to deadlines.
• Display oral and written communication skills, with effective organizational and time management skills.
• Be physically able to use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers, photocopiers, and fax machines.
• Be physically able to lift/move up to twenty-five (25) pounds (computer equipment).
• Travel required, as needed.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed.
• Maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business.
