[Hiring] Director of Strategy Transformation @Vonage

Role Description

This is a high-impact, senior role sitting at the heart of BU API's transformation agenda. Working in close partnership with the Head of Transformation and the Transformation Lead, you will bring a holistic, cross-functional, and proactive strategic perspective to how BU API identifies, shapes, and drives transformation. The role combines three deeply connected dimensions: strategic transformation leadership, BU API strategy support, and Chief of Staff responsibilities for the BU API Leadership Team. You will serve as the connective tissue between BU API's strategic agenda and the on-the-ground execution of the transformation program, bridging the gap between where the business is going and how the transformation program is actually delivering against that direction.

Your key responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new growth and improvement initiatives rooted in BU API's strategic priorities, surfacing opportunities beyond the current transformation portfolio.
• Map and manage cross-functional interdependencies across BU API's transformation programs, ensuring a coherent and connected view of the overall transformation landscape.
• Work in close collaboration with the Transformation Lead to ensure strategic intent is grounded in execution reality, and vice versa.
• Support the Head of Transformation and BU API Leadership Team in shaping the BU API strategic agenda through structured analysis, business case development, and insight generation.
• Manage the strategic agenda of the BU API Leadership Team, owning governance including OKR tracking, meeting planning, and rhythm management; prepare and coordinate materials for key governance forums including Business Reviews, Operations Reviews, and Risk Reviews.
• Act as a thought partner to the Head of Transformation on complex, cross-functional transformation challenges, identifying and flagging risks related to transformation adoption and organizational change.
• Manage one junior resource supporting reporting, coordination, and operational tasks within the Chief of Staff function.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in strategy, transformation, or management consulting, ideally with exposure to tech, telecom, SaaS, or CPaaS environments.
• Proven track record working at the intersection of strategy and execution, with hands-on experience driving cross-functional transformation programs end-to-end.
• Experience in Chief of Staff or equivalent senior advisory roles supporting executive leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations, with experience in OKR frameworks, governance design, and executive-level reporting.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with excellent communication and storytelling abilities, able to synthesize complex topics into clear narratives for senior audiences.
• Familiarity with transformation management tools such as Wave or equivalent portfolio and program tracking platforms.
• Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift and agility is key.

Requirements

• Background in change management or organizational transformation (considered a plus).
• Prior experience in management consulting (considered a plus).
• Experience with structured transformation governance frameworks (considered a plus).
• Exposure to cultural and organizational change dimensions within large-scale transformation programs (considered a plus).
