[Hiring] Tech Lead @Flowpouch

Role Description

We are looking for a technical lead to own and manage our technology stack, which includes:

• The store: Oversee Shopify theme, apps, checkout, settings, and integrations with subscription, email, and analytics tools.
• Testing and site changes: Implement A/B tests quickly and correctly, currently about eight a month.
• Internal tools: Take over AI-assisted apps, harden them, host them properly, and build new ones.
• The mobile app: Scope, select the approach and team, and run the build for iOS and Android apps.
• Infrastructure and security: Manage hosting, VPS maintenance, access control, backups, and domains.
• The team: Lead a Shopify developer and a web and brand designer, help hire an SEO lead, set standards, review work, and unblock team members.

This is a hands-on lead role where you will write and review code and be the go-to person for technical issues.

Qualifications

• Five or more years as a developer.
• At least two years leading a small technical team or being the sole technical owner at a company.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify: Liquid, OS 2.0 themes, apps, and checkout extensibility.
• Comfortable across the stack: modern JavaScript or TypeScript, Python or Node backend, Linux servers, Git, basic networking, and security.
• Experience building with AI tools and shipping real products using them.
• Experience shipping or managing a mobile app.
• Clear communication skills in English with non-technical founders.
• Based in Europe or within a few hours of Central European time, with some overlap with US Eastern afternoons.

Requirements

• Ability to inherit and improve systems built quickly with thin documentation.
• Capability to manage changing priorities and deliver results efficiently.
• Experience working in a small team without a platform team behind you.

Benefits

• Very competitive compensation, set with the individual.
• Remote work, with a preference for candidates in Europe.

How to apply

Send us your CV or LinkedIn profile, plus short answers to three questions:

• A system you took over from someone else and made reliable. What did you find, what did you change first, and why?
• Something you have built with AI tools in the last six months that is in real use. What did the tools get wrong?
