Role Description

As a Staff+ Builder, you're on the frontier of continuously redefining how we deliver software and exercise judgment in a constantly evolving landscape. This role exists to bring that way of working into In Tandem, wherever the organization needs it most.

What you will do:

• Seek out problems worth building for.
• Take it from zero to one.
• Carry useful work into production.
• Raise the pace and quality of engineering.
• Own the hard decisions.

• Make others stronger.

What strong work could look like:

• Recognizing a recurring difficulty in a family workflow and shipping a focused improvement.
• Launching something small with no existing team or process and iterating on feedback.
• Turning a promising agent prototype into a reliable engineering workflow.
• Removing a recurring bottleneck in delivery.
• Connecting an emerging user or market need to our product strategy.

Qualifications

• Staff-level impact as a hands-on engineer.
• An owner's mindset.
• Evidence of moving from an uncertain problem to a useful result.
• Product judgment and curiosity about users and markets.
• Practical fluency with AI-assisted development.
• Strong judgment about architecture, quality, security, and user experience.
• Depth in at least one engineering area.
• Low ego, high integrity, and a habit of making reasoning visible.
