[Hiring] Staff Engineer @American Eagle Outfitters

Role Description

AEO Employment Services CO LLC seeks a Staff Engineer to develop global e-commerce applications.

• Designing and developing backend apps using Java/JDK8, Spring Boot and ATG
• Leading full-cycle implementation and performance tuning of e-commerce site development and web applications
• Conducting software testing, validation and enforcing coding standards
• Improving existing software and adapting new hardware
• Providing on-call support and resolving issues
• Migrating legacy applications to cloud-native applications

This is a remote position; the employee can live anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related IT position
• Experience must include five (5) years working with:
  • Java/JDK8 to develop e-commerce software applications
  • ATG e-Commerce framework
  • All phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting retail applications in an agile environment
• Experience must also include three (3) years:
  • Working with Spring/Spring Boot applications
  • Implementing REST web services for use in high-traffic retail e-commerce platforms
  • Cloud-native application development using Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
