[Hiring] Sr. Software Engineer @Sabre Corporation

Role Description

Sabre is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineer to support the Professional Services Team. This person will work closely with our consultant and sales engineer colleagues to understand the needs of the Agency Team.

At Sabre, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. In this role you will plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products.
• Designs, plans, develops and improves applications using routine and advanced technology.
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
• Implements strategic policies when selecting methods and techniques.
• Encourages high coding standards, using best practices and high quality.
• Regularly interacts with subordinate supervisors, architects, product managers, and HR on matters concerning projects or team performance.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
• Provides technical mentorship and cultural/competency-based guidance to teams.
• Provides larger business/product context and mentors on specific tech stacks/technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications.
• Experience in fast-paced Software Development in Agile environment.
• Knowledge of programming in an Agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of React and/or front-end web technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud-based tech/languages, technology stacks, etc. is a plus.
• Proficient English, both written and verbal.
• Self-disciplined and commitment-oriented.
