[Hiring] Software Engineer I @HST Global, India

Role Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in Java, Python, and Shell scripting to join our team and work on various projects.

• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our users.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code in Java, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Very good knowledge of SQL/Oracle.
• Expected to learn new technologies and tools as required and deliver accordingly.
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements analysis to deployment.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Working in Linux platform, Jira & Agile methodology preferred.
• Understand the complete Business requirement and implement accordingly, technically helping the team.
• Partner with data architects and engineers to ensure an optimal data model design; knowledge of MDM & Data quality will be added advantages.
• Maintain compliance with change control, SDLC, and development standards.
• Creation and contribution to technical documentation and diagrams.
• Establish a technical vision and strategy with the team and work with the team to turn it into reality.
• Emphasis on coaching and training to cultivate skill development of team members within the department.
• Responsible for keeping up with industry best practices and trends.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve the Data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient in Java, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, etc.
• Experience with databases such as Big Query, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Team player that exhibits high energy, work flexibility, strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication, and results orientation.
