Role Description

Join us at Fastino as we build the next generation of LLMs. Our team, boasting alumni from Google Research, Apple, Stanford, and Cambridge is on a mission to develop specialized, efficient AI.

Fastino's GLiNER family of open source models has been downloaded more than 5 million times and is used by companies such as NVIDIA, Meta, and Airbnb.

Fastino has raised $25M (as featured in TechCrunch) through our seed round and is backed by leading investors including Microsoft, Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Github CEO Thomas Dohmke, Docker CEO Scott Johnston, and others.

• Ship full-stack features end-to-end, owning the full lifecycle from conception to production with minimal oversight.
• Build and maintain the infrastructure powering Fastino's services, keeping systems reliable and performant as we scale.
• Work directly with AI researchers to bring new model capabilities into the product, moving fast without sacrificing quality.
• Translate user feedback into product improvements, closing the loop quickly between what customers experience and what gets shipped.
• Collaborate daily with the full team to review progress, surface blockers, and keep velocity high.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a track record of owning features from design to deployment.
• Strong Python skills; comfort in TypeScript is a plus but not required.
• You thrive in ambiguity and can balance speed and scalability without needing a playbook.
• Optional: Experience building or integrating with LLM-based systems or AI infrastructure.
• Optional: Familiarity with high-concurrency backend systems or low-latency API design.
