Role Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a ServiceNow SAM Developer supporting Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services - Cloud Products & Tools (CMS - CPT). The Senior ServiceNow SAM Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Software Asset Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform (SAM Pro preferred). This role combines deep technical expertise with strong domain knowledge of software licensing and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.

• Ensure SAM capabilities are implemented using ServiceNow best practices.
• Favor configuration over customization, maintaining upgrade-safe solutions.
• Align with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Partner closely with Product Managers, SAM Managers, architects, and analysts.
• Deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that drive compliance, cost optimization, and automation.
• Support the optimization, implementation, and compliance alignment of SAM modules in ServiceNow SAM Pro Plus.
• Leverage advanced ITAM processes to ensure accurate asset tracking, operational transparency, and regulatory adherence.
• Specialize in publisher-specific toolsets and drive license optimization through tailored workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow SAM.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs).
• Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub).
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and ITAM modules.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
