[Hiring] Senior | Staff Product Engineer @Convene Hospitality Group

Role Description

Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) is hiring Senior and Staff Product Engineers to join our Technology team. In these hands-on, full-stack roles, you’ll work across our brand portfolio to design, build, and modernize our tech stack—from client-facing digital experiences to the internal operating system that runs our business.

You'll join a small, sharp team that solves real business problems with whatever works best, whether that's AI, custom code, or intelligently integrated enterprise systems. You'll write code, design solutions, and contribute to the culture we’re building at CHG.

Though early in adopting AI-driven development, we’re building an AI-first engineering team and want engineers who will help us get there. Day to day, that means paying attention to how we work, spotting technical gaps, and helping us iterate our way into the future. You'll help shape the tech and practices that we carry forward.

What You’ll Do:

• Own features across the front end, back end, APIs, business logic, and data layer.

Qualifications

• You have 6+ years of experience engineering production software for Senior level, or 9+ years with cross-system architecture ownership for Staff level.
• You're solid on relational data, including SQL, schema design, transactions, and migrations, and comfortable with modern data platforms: warehouses, pipelines, and getting the right data to the right place.
• You build with quality and security in mind, including testing, accessibility, input validation, authentication and authorization, and common web security risks.
• You use AI agents for real multi-step work, not just autocomplete.
• You think like a product engineer, starting with the problem, not the solution.
• You make thoughtful technical judgments that hold up over time.
• You like thinking out loud and welcome pushback on your ideas.
• You explain decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to engineers and non-engineers.
• You've led technical work beyond your own tickets.
• You’re curious and keep up with fast-changing tools and practices.

Requirements

• Bonus Points:
• You've shipped an LLM-backed feature to production.
• You've extended an AI development environment with MCP servers, repository instructions, reusable skills, custom workflows, or automated code review.
• You've worked with business systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, or HRIS platforms.
• You've built event-driven systems or reverse ETL pipelines.
• You've worked with AWS or a similar cloud platform, and with infrastructure as code.
• You've established new systems, standards, or engineering practices from an early stage.
• You've worked in hospitality, events, real estate, or another customer-centric, multi-location business.

Compensation

• Base Salary: Salary Min: $150,000; Salary Max: $200,000.
• This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.
• Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
