[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer in Test @Genesys

Role Description

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test (SDET) or Software Developer to join our Artificial Intelligence teams and help build products and services to bring the benefits of our innovative technology to Genesys Customers.

As an SDET, you will be designing and developing automated test frameworks and additional cloud-based test infrastructure that help guarantee the quality of our software deliverables. As a member of a cross-functional development team, you will also ensure scalability and availability of the entire platform and deliver high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Senior SDETs and DevOps engineers to expand existing test automation solutions and create new ones.
• Write automated functional acceptance tests at the API and UI level.
• Maintain automated test jobs in automated deployment pipelines.
• Conduct exploratory testing to ensure functional and usability integrity.
• Perform performance/load testing to ensure products meet scalability needs.
• Contribute as a delivery team member through an Agile Scrum methodology representing testing and quality assurance concerns.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development in Test or Software Development.
• Experience developing in at least one of the following OO languages: Python, Java, JavaScript.
• Experience working with UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium.
• Experienced with API test automation frameworks such as Requests or REST Assured.
• Experience working within Agile software development frameworks.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• DevOps mindset and champion of Continuous Delivery best practices.
• Curious, self-driven, and not afraid to ask questions.
• Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety, privacy, reliability).

Requirements

• Experience with JavaScript/Playwright based UI test frameworks.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery systems such as Jenkins or similar.
• Experienced with web applications and microservices.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
