Role Description

The Technology organization enables and accelerates the company’s growth strategies, delivering global capabilities and services in support of Amex’s customers and colleagues, while maintaining 24/7 servicing and availability to ensure an uninterrupted, high-quality customer experience. The Enterprise CRM Solutions team was created in 2024 as part of the company’s Framework for Winning. Core to our purpose is reimagining the platform solution-delivery model to dramatically improve our strategic agility, speed to market, effectiveness of delivery and transparency. The Enterprise Customer Relationship Management Solutions (ECRMS) team creates solutions for the Sales and Customer Domain via respective platforms by harnessing the power of Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence to offer powerful selling and re-selling engines to acquire new clients and expand existing client relationships for Sales, Account Development, and Marketers across the Enterprise.

• Develop and implement Salesforce declarative solutions, customizations, applications, extensions and integrations to deliver solutions that impact multiple platforms and products
• Perform code reviews, ad-hoc pair programming; contribute to iterative improvement of tools, automation and practices used by team
• Develop and improve our CI/CD workflow tools and processes
• Perform ongoing refactoring of code, utilize visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and deliver continuous improvement
• Promote inner sourcing
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds
• Ability to analyze business requirements and architect/estimate solutions at various scales
• Learn new technologies and drive opportunities for adoption
• Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with product partners and engineering teams in our ecosystem
• Facilitate discussions to identify alternative or different approaches to solve problems, break down barriers and drive resolution of conflicts to ensure productivity of the team

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, programming, and configuring the Salesforce platform and deep functional understanding of its capabilities and limitations
• 5+ years with advanced Salesforce.com development tools and techniques, e.g. Apex language, Force.com custom development, triggers, controllers, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, LWC
• 3+ years' experience with other IT disciplines, such as .Net, Java, SOA connectivity, web services, or database, with demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming
• BS in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent work experience
