[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer, Frontend @Optimal Dynamics

Role Description

Optimal Dynamics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join our Product Engineering team and lead the development and evolution of our customer-facing web applications. This role is focused on building high-performance, intuitive interfaces that translate complex logistics workflows into elegant, usable experiences.

As a senior-level individual contributor and frontend technical leader, you will:

• Define frontend architecture, establish best practices, and drive the development of scalable design systems.
• Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end user experiences that balance speed, reliability, and maintainability while elevating frontend engineering standards across the organization.

This is a full-time, remote-friendly role open to candidates across the U.S., with the option to work from our New York City headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Senior level expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.
• Proven experience building and scaling complex, production-grade web applications (SPAs).
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, including state management, performance optimization, and component design patterns.
• Experience integrating with APIs and distributed backend systems.
• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, testing frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience collaborating with design teams using Figma, including interpreting design specs and contributing to design systems.

Requirements

• Experience mentoring engineers, driving technical decisions, and frontend excellence across teams.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems or component libraries.
• Familiarity with data-heavy or real-time UIs (e.g., dashboards, operational tools).
• Experience working with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
• Background in logistics, transportation systems, or other complex operational domains.
