[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer and AWS Architect @Goldschmitt and Associates

Role Description

Goldschmitt is seeking a Senior Software Engineer and AWS Architect. This position is remote with preference given to candidates who live within a commutable distance to the DMV area. The anticipated salary for this position is $160,000.00- $180,000.00.

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise/SaaS applications
• Participate in application and cloud architecture design and implementation
• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related testing frameworks
• Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
• Develop, deploy, and support applications within AWS environments
• Implement and maintain AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
• Implement and manage application user authentication and authorization methods
• Design and maintain databases, data models, queries, and supporting scripts
• Conduct code reviews and identify opportunities to improve application performance, maintainability, security, and efficiency
• Identify and implement application and infrastructure modifications necessary to meet FedRAMP and other applicable security and compliance requirements
• Implement and maintain AWS account, application-level, compliance, and tenant monitoring
• Implement and support AWS services
• Design and implement automated tenant management and provisioning capabilities
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and recommend improvements

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing cloud-based enterprise applications
• Experience building multitenant SaaS applications, including data isolation, tenant provisioning, and tenant specific business rules
• Strong backend software development experience
• Experience with application and cloud architecture design and implementation
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling
• Experience with modern software development, testing, deployment, and DevOps practices

Requirements

• Possess at least 7 years of professional software development experience, including enterprise software and/or SaaS applications
• Possess a Bachelor's degree
• Possess the ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation, including United States citizenship
• Possess experience with the following:
• Programming Languages: Java
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Hibernate
• Technologies: Web Services (REST), API Management
• AWS Technologies: ECS, Application Load Balancers, Lambda Functions, CDK, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, RDS
• Platforms: AWS, Docker Containers
• Databases: MySQL, NoSQL
• Tools: Git, CI/CD, Swagger/OpenAPI, JUnit

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess experience with the following:
• Programming Languages: Node.js
• AWS Technologies: AWS GovCloud, CloudFormation, Simple Notification Service (SNS), Cognito, API Gateway
• Observability: Spring Boot Actuator/Micrometer, distributed tracing (X-Ray or OpenTelemetry)
• Application Servers: Tomcat
• Databases: DB2, Redis, DynamoDB
• Compliance & Security: FedRAMP, ATO
