Role Description

At Sitetracker, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering complex, scalable Salesforce solutions that address our customers' most challenging business needs. You'll own the technical architecture of high-impact custom features and integrations, ensuring solutions are robust, performant, and aligned with Sitetracker's engineering standards. This opportunity offers the autonomy to solve complex technical challenges, mentor fellow engineers, and influence the evolution of our platform through close collaboration with customers and our Product team.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical design and development of complex custom solutions built on the Sitetracker platform.
• Translate challenging customer requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce architectures.
• Take ownership of technical design decisions, implementation quality, and architectural integrity.
• Ensure customizations align with platform best practices and minimize technical debt.
• Serve as a technical leader within our FDE team, guiding fellow engineers through complex development challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and help establish consistent engineering standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks.
• Drive continuous improvements in development practices.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Recommend effective technical solutions and communicate progress throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the core Sitetracker Product team to identify recurring customization needs.
• Deliver high-quality solutions on time while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The Skills You'll Have

• Salesforce Development Experience:
  • Authored technical design documents for multiple high-complexity Salesforce solutions.
  • Demonstrated advanced Apex development expertise, including asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Designed and developed complex, performant Lightning Web Components.
  • Established reusable Salesforce development frameworks and effectively used AI-assisted development tools.
  • Proactively identified and resolved significant performance bottlenecks or technical debt.
• Communication:
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Collaborated with internal stakeholders throughout the feature development lifecycle.
  • Provide clear, professional updates and proactively communicate challenges.
  • Worked directly with external customers throughout the feature development lifecycle.
  • Led customer requirements discussions and demonstrated completed solutions.
• Work Management:
  • Independently managed and delivered multiple complex custom implementation projects.
  • Accurately estimated development effort for complex features.
  • Proactively identified architectural and delivery risks and implemented mitigation strategies.
  • Developed or improved engineering processes that increased delivery efficiency.
  • Balanced high-priority architectural initiatives, complex feature development, and mentorship responsibilities.
• Customer Facing:
  • Led technical discovery sessions with customers.
  • Presented proposed technical solutions directly to customers.
  • Established credibility and trust with customer stakeholders.
  • Influenced customer technical roadmaps or integration strategies.
  • Transformed vague or competing customer requirements into clear technical specifications.

Within 90 Days, You'll

• Develop a strong understanding of Sitetracker's Salesforce architecture and development standards.
• Independently design, develop, test, and deliver your first customer-facing customization or feature.
• Establish productive working relationships with engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams.

Within 180 Days, You'll

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of multiple complex customer implementations.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to engineering excellence by mentoring fellow developers and improving reusable development frameworks.

Within 365 Days, You'll

• Establish yourself as a technical leader within the FDE team.
• Drive measurable improvements in engineering efficiency and solution quality.
• Partner with customers, engineering leadership, and the core Sitetracker Product team.
