Role Description

The role involves software development with Java, JavaScript, and various scripting languages. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing data models and web APIs.
• Creating software tasks from system requirements.
• Performing requirements analysis, design, development, unit, and integration testing of software.
• Troubleshooting and debugging the system.
• Enhancing and maintaining the existing system.
• Designing, developing, and documenting new features.
• Using Atlassian Tools for day-to-day tasks within the Scrum process.
• Implementing web services, data persistence access features, and external interfaces.
• Following Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
• Supporting in building and adjusting CI/CD pipelines within AWS Cloud Environment.
• Diagnosing server and production issues on the host and implementing solutions for cybersecurity.
• Mentoring junior level software engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Active Secret security clearance preferred.
• 7+ years software development experience.
• 2+ years AWS Cloud experience required.
• Professional experience in Java Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data, Security).
• Additional software development experience with user interfaces and front-end technology (CSS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, React) preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining secure RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Experience with design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and debugging web applications.
• Experience in Architecture and CI/CD environment (Docker, Ansible, Jenkins preferred).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) on Linux servers or environments.
• Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git and/or Bitbucket.
• Experience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC.
• Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira in AWS cloud environment.
• Mobile development experience with iOS and Android a bonus.
• Experience with Agile Scrum.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• 7+ years software development experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• United States Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
