[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer @Dijkstrack

Role Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work on enterprise-scale applications used by organisations across multiple industries. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and deliver high-quality software that solves real business challenges. This is a hands-on development role where you'll influence technical decisions, contribute to modern architectures, and mentor junior engineers as you continue to grow your own skills.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and QA Engineers.
• Lead architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Review code and drive engineering best practices across the team.
• Troubleshoot, optimise and improve existing systems.
• Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing software using C#/.NET.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience working with Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to microservices and distributed systems.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Frontend experience with Angular or React is advantageous.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale applications.

Requirements

• 6+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
• Based in South Africa.
• South African citizen or hold current PR.
