Role Description

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience (typically 8+ years) in backend or platform software engineering, or equivalent.
• Deep production ownership (API and contract design, data modeling, running what you ship).
• Experience building and operating platforms, libraries, or services that other engineers depend on.
• Comfortable operating across many teams and influencing without authoritarianism.
• Pragmatism under constraint: ship sound, safe solutions and improve them over time.
• Prior privacy, GDPR, or data-governance exposure is a strong plus.

Requirements

• You treat platform engineering as product work: engineers and members are your customers.
• Hands-on: writing code is the bulk of the job (Python, TypeScript).
• Design and communicate: comfortable writing framing docs and aligning areas on design decisions.
• Enabler: measure your impact by how fast areas run their own data rules without consulting you.
• Build reusable patterns: guardrails, libraries, and safe-by-default abstractions.
• Fluent in English (French is not required).
