Role Description

Designs and builds best in-class solutions. Performs business/software analysis. May coordinate initiatives within a product team. Supports initiatives that ensure enterprise systems remain best-in-class. Learning to lead teams and bodies of work.

  • Acts as a product-team problem solver and domain SME to design, test, and deliver best in class solutions.
  • Works within a Supply Chain technology team supporting warehouse, transportation, and fulfillment systems.
  • The team focuses on event-driven services and system integrations that enable inventory movement, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
  • Engineers contribute to API development, message-based processing, and cloud-native services that support high-volume, business-critical workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level preferred
  • General Experience: Over 3 years to 6 years
  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)

Requirements

  • Kotlin / Java (Spring Boot) for backend services
  • REST APIs and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Apache Camel and/or Spring Integration for service orchestration and system integration
  • Distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Microsoft Azure (AKS, Azure Functions, cloud-native services)
  • Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment
  • CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • React and/or React Native experience
  • Observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting)
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Linux/Unix environments and Git-based version control
  • Secure software development practices
  • AI-forward thinking and adoption

Responsibilities

  • Drive development of existing software and contribute to development of new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
  • Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning software.
  • Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
  • Research and suggest ways to optimize solutions to better meet user and/or business, performance, quality needs.
  • Drive maintenance road map to facilitate software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
  • Find root cause and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
  • Assign short-term work schedules to a team based on storyboarding/backlog.
  • Develop own and more junior team member capabilities through training and coaching.
  • Contribute to work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Guide and deliver the design distribution of basic database resources.
  • Support the collection of functional requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis.
