Role Description

Quanata (San Francisco, CA) seeks a Senior Software Developer in Test SDET Front End to design, lead, and optimize scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts for web front-end products across multiple product streams.

• Drive integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Embed automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to refine requirements and test strategies.
• Advance best practices through continuous tooling innovation and process improvement.

Specific duties include:

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts for web front-end products across multiple product streams (15%).
• Design and execute integration, regression, and performance tests using industry-standard tools (35%).
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to plan and test new features (25%).
• Research and implement new automated testing tools and techniques (25%).

Must take and pass a series of pre-hire technical assessments including:

• Coding Exercise in a Python Language.
• Framework Design Challenge.
• Bug-Finding/Exploratory Test Case Review.
• CI/CD Integration Scenario.

Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Required travel for team meetings or company gatherings about 2 times a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
• 8 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Developer in Test SDET Front End, Senior Software Developer in Test, Technology Analyst, or similar software testing position.
• 7 years of experience with testing automation framework design & implementation.
• 7 years of experience conducting UI/Web UI test automation using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience conducting framework/tool research and experimentation.
• 7 years of experience identifying bottlenecks.
• 7 years of experience programming/scripting using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or other similar languages.
• 5 years of experience working with integration and regression testing.
• 4 years of experience with BDD/POM or similar test structure patterns.
• 4 years of experience with CI/CD pipeline integration of test artifacts.
• 2 years of experience working with SQL and databases.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Providing technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring team members, and facilitating knowledge sharing.
