Role Description

Revolutional is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to analyze business requirements and design, develop, document, test, migrate, deploy, and support custom and out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions for the Census Bureau's Decennial Information Technology Division.

As a Senior SharePoint Developer you'll:

• Analyze customer and business requirements and translate them into technical designs, implementation plans, test cases, and support documentation.
• Lead and support the complete application-development lifecycle for new, replacement, and existing SharePoint applications, including requirements analysis, solution design, code development, documentation, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and defect correction.
• Plan, design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and manage SharePoint and related IT solutions within DITD in consultation with Government staff.
• Provide project-level technical guidance, training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to IT services staff supporting SharePoint development activities.
• Develop and support SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 applications using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, InfoPath Forms, Nintex, Bootstrap, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Develop and customize SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online solutions, including custom pages and layouts, lists, document libraries, permissions, navigation, site functionality, and out-of-the-box features.
• Build modern SharePoint Online customizations and Web Parts using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Create custom Web Part solutions for SharePoint 2016 using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to tailor functionality, page layouts, and user experiences to customer requirements.
• Build, modify, troubleshoot, and debug Nintex forms and workflows within the SharePoint 2016 environment.
• Evaluate and refresh legacy SharePoint sites by modernizing site structures, content, navigation, and user experiences in accordance with customer requirements and Microsoft 365 standards.
• Develop test cases; validate migrated and newly developed solutions; debug code and defects; perform root-cause analysis; and implement corrective actions.
• Administer and govern SharePoint site collections, associated sites, pages, permissions, navigation, and content throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Design and support centralized request, tracking, dashboard, and access-management solutions that improve visibility and streamline business processes across organizational teams.
• Provide Tier II and Tier III engineering and application support, manage incidents, service requests, changes, escalations, and problem records in ServiceNow, and document technical findings and resolutions.
• Coordinate software lifecycle readiness, testing, approvals, authorization documentation, and deployment activities using enterprise tools such as Jira, GitLab, and ServiceNow.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Loop, and Copilot.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8 or more years of hands-on SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online development and customization experience, including custom pages and layouts, lists, document libraries, SPFx, and front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub, and Agile delivery methods.
• Hands-on experience developing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions and building, modifying, troubleshooting, and debugging Nintex forms and workflows in SharePoint 2016.
• Demonstrated experience testing, debugging, correcting defects, remediating migration issues, and modernizing legacy SharePoint solutions during a SharePoint 2016-to-SharePoint Online transition.
• Experience developing test cases and performing unit, integration, migration, and comprehensive solution testing before Production deployment.

Requirements

• Foundational hands-on Power BI experience creating basic reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, with an interest in continuing to expand proficiency.
• Experience with the SharePoint Migration Tool, manual migration methods, site refresh activities, and remediation of custom or legacy SharePoint solutions.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint site collections, Teams, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Splunk, enterprise application deployments, and software lifecycle governance.
• Microsoft Power Platform or Microsoft 365 certification, such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, or an equivalent credential.
