Role Description

This initiative focuses on expanding and refining automation across key operational domains - from product implementation workflows to billing and provisioning systems, as well as various service-related tasks, including bug handling and customer-funded enhancements. In the role of Senior Scala Engineer, you will be part of a deeply technical environment, responsible for designing scalable backend solutions, strengthening existing automation frameworks, and supporting the ongoing development of a sophisticated enterprise platform that underpins workforce and payroll operations.

Tech stack: Scala 2.13, Play Framework (pekko-based), MySQL, Redis, AWS services.

• Develop and maintain backend services in Scala using Play Framework to support automation of implementation, billing, and provisioning.
• Optimize MySQL queries and ensure efficient data access across system components.
• Support automation of service workflows, including bug fixes and client-funded requests.
• Build and maintain AWS-based components to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, perform code reviews, and follow Git-based development practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scala (collections, Futures, immutability, pattern matching, etc).
• Good understanding of SQL optimization, indexes, and query profiling.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Understanding of CI/CD and source control (Git, PR flow).
