[Hiring] Senior SAP ABAP Integration Consultant @Avenga

Role Description

We are currently looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Integration Consultant – E-Invoicing & Tax Compliance to join an international SAP compliance and digital taxation initiative focused on MEU and MEA regions. In this role, you will work on adapting SAP ECC systems to rapidly evolving global e-invoicing and electronic tax reporting requirements. The position combines deep SAP ABAP expertise with complex integrations, legal compliance, and enterprise-scale tax localization initiatives.

• Contribute to the implementation of international e-invoicing frameworks, government portal integrations, and real-time VAT reporting solutions across complex enterprise SAP landscapes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant or SAP Technical Consultant
• Strong experience with SAP ECC environments and enterprise-scale SAP implementation programs
• Deep expertise in RICEFW development and SAP integration technologies
• Hands-on experience with IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, User Exits, BAdIs, or BTEs
• Experience building or supporting SAP integrations with external systems and middleware platforms
• Understanding of e-invoicing, VAT reporting, tax compliance, or localization-related processes
• Experience supporting finance, invoicing, or FI/CO-related SAP processes
• Experience with XML, JSON, or electronic document mapping formats
• Familiarity with international e-invoicing and tax compliance frameworks across MEU and MEA regions
• Experience supporting regulatory or localization initiatives in countries such as UAE, Qatar, Oman, France, Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, or other EU/MEA jurisdictions
• Exposure to EU electronic reporting standards and VAT initiatives such as PEPPOL, KSeF, XRechnung, or ViDA is highly valued
• Professional English communication skills

Requirements

• Experience with EDICOM integrations
• Knowledge of SAP DRC / eDocument Cockpit
• Experience working with EDI platforms, middleware solutions, and government APIs
• Experience with Adobe Forms or SmartForms
• Exposure to S/4HANA transformation initiatives
• Experience with INT4 or Tricentis Tosca testing platforms
• SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certifications

This is your role

• Develop and maintain complex RICEFW objects in SAP ECC to support evolving e-invoicing and tax compliance mandates
• Configure and optimize IDoc and RFC integrations between SAP ECC and the EDICOM Global E-Invoicing Platform
• Design and maintain mapping of SAP data into XML-based electronic invoicing formats required by external tax and government systems
• Ensure reliable data exchange with national tax authority platforms and e-invoicing frameworks across the MEU and MEA regions
• Participate in the implementation of UAE E-Invoicing initiatives and ongoing EU B2B e-invoicing and VAT reporting programs
• Deploy and maintain integrations with external government portals and local compliance systems via EDI/IDoc technologies
• Support end-to-end testing activities, including Unit, Integration, and UAT phases, ensuring compliance with legal and technical standards
• Contribute to master data and transaction data migration activities while maintaining data integrity and audit compliance
