[Hiring] Senior Platform Software Engineer @Smartfrog & Canary

Role Description

As a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you’ll be at the heart of the platform team activities – growing, enhancing, and adding functionality to the cloud platform. Improving stability and scalability of the system while introducing new technologies and methods to the system.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science
• 4+ years of work experience within a backend-focused software engineering team
• Background in building distributed, scalable, and secure backend systems
• Understanding of data streaming architectures and methodologies
• Responsible AI tooling, discipline, and model integration
• Proficiency in Python or Go
• Experience working with the AWS stack, understanding of how the different services fit together, and when to use each one
• Exposure to a diverse set of data stores such as Kafka, Scylla, Redis, MySQL, and DynamoDB
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Strong testing fundamentals
• Good attitude

Requirements

• Passion for cybersecurity (Bonus)
• Hands-on experience with K8S (Bonus)
• Knowledge of data pipelines and warehousing (Bonus)
• Interest in connected devices and home automation (Bonus)
• Exposure to machine learning systems deployed at scale (Bonus)
• Prior startup experience (Bonus)
