Role Description

We’re looking for a strong Senior .NET Engineer who’s ready to take ownership of a high-impact platform modernization project. This is not just another development role — it’s an opportunity to shape the future of a large-scale e-commerce platform, driving its transformation from a legacy Adobe ColdFusion system to a modern, scalable Angular + .NET Core architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Software Developer in production systems
• Proven background in modern web application development (frontend and backend)
• Solid experience with .NET (.NET Core / ASP Core .NET 8+)
• Clean Architecture and CQRS (MediatR, Dapper, Hangfire, Polly)
• Experience participating in or leading platform modernization or legacy migration projects
• Experience in RDBMS (MS SQL Server/Azure SQL)
• Braintree (or similar experience with Payment Gateways)
• Twilio/Klaviyo integrations
• Elastic APM/Bugsnag monitoring experience (migration to App Insights)
• Good understanding of application architecture, performance, and scalability
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and on-premise (IIS, VMs) and cloud-based environments
• Ability to communicate confidently with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort working with distributed teams and collaborating with US-based clients
• English – Upper Intermediate/Advanced (both spoken and written)

Requirements

• Experience with Angular (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Act as a main technical contributor and decision-maker for the platform modernization initiative
• Drive the migration, ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable architecture
• Review, validate, and influence system and application architecture to support performance, scalability, and long-term growth
• Lead by example in hands-on development, code reviews, and technical problem-solving
• Influence and improve engineering standards, code quality, and delivery practices
• Collaborate closely with the client developers and product stakeholders
• Support and oversee CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and secure deployments
• Identify technical risks and bottlenecks early and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies
• Mentor other engineers where needed and contribute to a healthy, professional engineering culture

From the client side: 1 .Net full-stack dev, 3 ColdFusion devs, BA

Schedule

5/2, 8-hour working day (40 hr per week), flexible schedule. Ability to interact with New York time zone at least 4 hours a day.
