Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ to support and enhance Healthcare Claims applications. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes, application development, production support, and release management. This role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable mainframe solutions
• Troubleshooting complex issues
• Coordinating deployments across multiple environments
• Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders
• Providing technical leadership to offshore teams
• Supporting Agile delivery practices
• Ensuring successful execution of development, testing, and production activities

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Mainframe technologies, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ for application development
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and a strong understanding of related business workflows and operations
• Solid understanding of code migration and release management processes, including package creation, code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments, along with post-deployment validation and backout procedures
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and production support issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and offshore development teams
• Experience working in Agile development environments and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting

Requirements

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Healthcare Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ following established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure successful project execution
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members, coordinate onsite-offshore activities, and act as a key contact for technical issue resolution
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, conduct code reviews, and support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities
