Role Description

As Our New Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Help shape the future of chiropractic by building a modern, innovative EHR and practice management platform.
• Architect and fine-tune infrastructure to keep our systems scalable, stable, and secure.
• Maintain existing products, squash bugs, and improve functionality.
• Explore and ship AI-powered features that help practices thrive.
• Build and improve data migration workflows for new customers.
• Collaborate across teams to design and launch new features.
• Optimize performance, security, and reliability.
• Craft clean, testable, well-documented Laravel + PHP applications on AWS.
• Design and maintain secure APIs for integration with other systems.
• Hunt down and eliminate bugs proactively.
• Contribute to thoughtful code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Make UI and UX decisions when full designs aren't available.
• Stay updated on new tech and bring back innovative ideas.
• Support the Customer Support team with technical issues.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the Laravel PHP framework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in database management, particularly with SQL databases.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient, and testable PHP code.
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience launching SaaS applications and handling spikes in load.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Solid experience with frontend technologies and JavaScript frameworks.
• Proven ability in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Detail-oriented while maintaining a big-picture focus.

Requirements

• At least 4+ years of PHP/Laravel experience.
• Experience developing across the entire stack from front to back.
• Deep working knowledge of data, ETL, relational databases, and SQL.
• Located between the Pacific and Eastern timezones.
