Role Description

ASSYST is seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to support our client project in Austin, TX. This is a remote position.

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members.
• Work for the IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System).
• Follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach.
• Collaborate with multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports for Texas’s 1200 school districts.
• Design and build production Java applications.
• Handle complex system architecture decisions.
• Documentation and Dev/Unit Testing.
• Participate in Agile development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java / J2EE development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Unit Testing.
• Agile.

Requirements

• Knowledge of JIRA/Bitbucket.
• Experience with Texas Student Data System (TSDS).
• Experience in Nomad.
