Role Description

The Senior Java Developer will have a solid understanding of Java fundamentals and designing & developing a system using a Java-based stack of technologies like Spring and Hibernate. The role requires a solid understanding of transactions, security, and various design patterns.

• Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications.
• Follow established software development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement.
• Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems.
• Participate in peer code and design reviews.
• Coordinate with departments and users in the support of business applications.
• Contribute software development expertise to multiple projects and ensure that specifications are met.
• Develop complex application features and create technical designs.
• Represent the IT department in terms of software development expertise in coordination with other departments.
• Provide technical assistance to the team, as needed.

Qualifications

• Over ten years of directly related experience.
• Five years of operational and/or technical business leadership experience.
• Over ten years of experience in Java development, T-SQL/SQL, Oracle, Postgres, SDLC tools, source control, and RDBMS concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Java (10+ years).
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate, JPA (3-5 years).
• Creating SQL objects, joins, querying experience (3-5 years).
• Experience with VueJS or similar (REACT JS/Angular) (2-3 years).
• Solid understanding of Java fundamentals and designing & developing systems using a Java-based stack of technologies like Spring and Hibernate.
• Solid understanding of transactions, security, and various design patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training with certification.
