[Hiring] Senior Integrations Engineer @Clever

Role Description

Clever is looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer to join our newly formed Integration Engineering team and serve as the technical architect for our most critical system connections. You'll be joining a small, high-impact team where your contributions are immediately visible and your voice helps shape how we work. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and customer success, designing and implementing integrations that link Clever to the essential systems schools rely on. You won't just be building connectors; you’ll be defining the technical standards for secure data transfer and helping evolve Clever’s platform through direct customer feedback and expert-level execution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of total experience in ETL Engineering, Integration Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Proven ability to work directly with external partners or clients to gather technical requirements, present solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
• Experience building API integrations, managing data imports/exports, and designing technical solutions for complex data flows.
• A reliable team player who is skilled at breaking down complex problems and finding practical, scalable solutions.
• You are energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to help shape how an emerging team operates.
• Deep expertise in the EdTech, K-12 sector, or Enterprise data industry (preferred).
• Experience with ETL processes and analytics platforms commonly used in K–12 (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) (preferred).

Requirements

• Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of high-profile integrations.
• Act as the technical bridge between school IT leaders and Clever’s internal Product and Engineering teams.
• Measure success by seamless deployment of data pipelines and high-quality technical documentation.
• Design and implement custom integrations using JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Lead technical discovery workshops with strategic partners.
• Help develop documentation for the team’s workflows.
