Role Description

The Senior Enterprise Integration Developer will support the North Star Portfolio Management System, an enterprise application catalog that integrates application and stakeholder data from multiple systems of record. This role focuses on machine-to-machine integrations, platform automation, and reliable data synchronization rather than user-facing application development.

The ideal candidate is a highly autonomous senior developer who can evaluate complex integration requirements, make sound technical decisions, and deliver solutions with limited day-to-day direction.

Qualifications

• Senior-level enterprise application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building integrations between enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following:
  • Java
  • Python
  • C#
  • JavaScript
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale applications or automation solutions.
• Strong experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of asynchronous integrations and system-to-system data exchange.
• Experience with queues, topics, messaging technologies, and file-transfer technologies.
• Git or comparable source-control experience.
• Agile or Scrum experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to explain technical reasoning and decisions clearly.
• Experience creating effective technical documentation.

Requirements

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between enterprise applications and systems of record.
• Develop automation supporting the application portfolio management platform.
• Design machine-to-machine integrations using APIs, messaging technologies, and file transfers.
• Synchronize application, stakeholder, and related portfolio data across systems.
• Develop and support enterprise-scale applications and automation solutions.
• Work with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, asynchronous integrations, queues, topics, and messaging platforms.
• Apply secure authentication and authorization practices to system integrations.
• Maintain code using Git or a comparable source-control platform.
• Create technical documentation, including README files, markdown documentation, and technical references.
• Participate in Agile or Scrum development activities.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and independently identify practical solutions.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.

Company Description

Fully remote LATAM opportunity with no individual country preference. Vendor will provide equipment. Candidate must maintain some overlap with the U.S. team's working hours. The role requires independent execution with limited oversight. An existing offshore team member can provide limited collaboration and platform context.

Interview Information

One interview round with the hiring manager on Thursday 10/08 or Friday 10/09. The discussion will focus on the candidate's problem-solving approach, thought process, decision-making rationale, and technical communication. Candidates should be prepared to explain previous integration solutions, architectural decisions, technical tradeoffs, and troubleshooting methods.
