Role Description

Join us as a Senior Frontend Developer on our mission to turn payments into possibilities!

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with strong experience designing, building, and maintaining modern web applications that create intuitive, reliable, and visually polished user experiences. You’ll be joining a high-performance engineering team that owns its products end-to-end — from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

This role is the bridge between complex payment systems and the people who use them. The ideal candidate combines strong frontend engineering ability with empathy for users, sound UX judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, backend engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.

You’ll work with a modern frontend stack, including:

• React and TypeScript for modern frontend development
• Angular for legacy systems that are transitioning toward React
• REST APIs, API gateways, and contract-first development
• CDNs and modern web delivery patterns
• Google Cloud Platform as our cloud infrastructure
• Automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
• AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, testing, debugging, and codebase understanding

Our backend services are primarily built in Go, and our teams use Domain-Driven Design, Behavior-Driven Development, API-first design, and cloud-native architecture principles to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

We aim to release frequently through feature toggling, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous deployment practices. We place a strong emphasis on automated testing, pragmatic architecture, and clear ownership of the software we build.

We expect our engineers to actively leverage modern software development practices, including AI-assisted development, automation, strong IDE workflows, and continuous learning, to deliver high-quality software faster and more effectively.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Owning the experience layer of the applications being developed, especially the UIs
• Help create automated pipelines for the delivery of front-end applications, following the principles of behavior-driven development
• Communicate with business partners to understand and propose ways in which the end user experience can be enhanced
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability
• Use AI to rapidly understand, navigate, and modernize large, existing codebases
• Continuously improve engineering productivity through automation, tooling, and modern development workflows
• Participate in architecture and API design discussions, balancing scalability, developer experience, maintainability, and business needs
• Take ownership of software throughout its lifecycle, from design through production support and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build production applications with React and TypeScript
• Experience with Angular is a plus, as some legacy systems are still in Angular and are transitioning toward React
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Windsurf, or similar
• Ability to use AI effectively for coding, debugging, test generation, documentation, refactoring, architectural exploration, and understanding unfamiliar codebases
• Strong understanding of modern API design principles, including versioning, backward compatibility, security, error handling, and developer experience
• Experience working with large, distributed systems and collaborating across frontend, backend, product, and architecture teams
• Continuous learner who actively explores new languages, frameworks, AI models, and engineering techniques
• Comfortable evaluating and adopting new developer tooling that improves productivity
• Strong preference for keyboard-driven workflows, automation, scripting, and efficient development practices
• Experience using modern IDEs such as Cursor, VS Code, or JetBrains products, with a focus on productivity-enhancing extensions and workflows
• Ownership mindset with a bias toward solving customer problems rather than simply completing assigned tasks
