[Hiring] Senior Frontend Developer @OutSystems

Role Description

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will be at the forefront of Agentic Workflow Orchestration. In this role, you aren't just building interfaces; you are designing the collaborative space where humans and AI agents interact. Your mission is to leverage OutSystems to build high-performance, accessible, and low-cognitive-load experiences that solve complex business problems.

Your work will focus on the North Star of Professional Services: Reducing User Cognitive Load. You’ll build UI patterns that make autonomous agent actions transparent, trustworthy, and seamless for the end-user.

Core Responsibilities

• Live Style Guide (LSG) Engineering: Build and maintain scalable LSGs and UI patterns. You won't just deliver a static library; you will build the "rules of engagement" that allow AI agents to correctly assemble customer-branded interfaces.
• Agentic Orchestration: Act as the supervisor of AI agents. You will prompt, audit, and orchestrate agents to generate code, troubleshoot UI bugs, and automate repetitive front-end tasks, ensuring the output delivers value to our customers.
• Prompt Engineering for UI: Develop and refine the system prompts used to generate OutSystems logic and UI. You are responsible for ensuring the AI understands the "governance" of the customer’s style guide.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Solve the "impossible" front-end bugs. Whether it’s a CSS race condition in a legacy app or a non-deterministic error in a new agentic workflow, you are the final point of escalation.
• Customer Workshops & Coaching: Lead workshops on Front-End best practices and Accessibility (WCAG). Transition customer teams from manual "pixel-pushing" to an "Orchestrator" mindset. Work directly with customers to troubleshoot challenging front-end issues and refine their front-end strategy. Mentor junior developers in the transition from traditional development to AI-assisted coding.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience developing high-quality applications using the OutSystems platform (OutSystems UI & Mobile UI).
• Ability to optimize applications for speed and search engine visibility.
• Experience implementing and a strong commitment to accessibility (WCAG) and creating tools that work for everyone.
• AI code fluency: Ability to read, debug, and optimize code generated by LLMs. You understand the "hallucination" patterns of AI-generated front-ends.
• Advanced prompt engineering: Experience structuring multi-step prompts to achieve specific, high-quality technical outcomes.
• Systemic thinking: You don't just fix a bug; you fix the prompt or the pattern so the bug never happens again.
• Fluent in English (mandatory) with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work effectively across different cultures and geographies in an agile environment.
• A proactive attitude towards coaching other developers and contributing to the evolution of the Front-End practice.
• Leadership by example, strong analytical thinking, and a focus on user-centric design.
• 5+ years of experience in OutSystems and experience in enterprise software development.
• Certifications: OutSystems Expert Developer; Specialist Agentic AI certification preferred, Front-end Developer Specialist.
