Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, engineering, operations, and modernization initiatives. This role will define and execute cloud strategy, drive best practices across multi-cloud environments, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support Clario's global clinical trial technology platforms. Responsibilities

• Serve as the cloud architecture subject matter expert, providing strategic direction, governance, and technical leadership across cloud platforms and services.
• Lead the design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments.
• Manage complex cloud initiatives from strategy through implementation, partnering with project managers, engineers, vendors, and service providers.
• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, design patterns, operational procedures, and technology roadmaps.
• Establish and optimize multi-cloud operational support models, including processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, research and development teams, security teams, and enterprise architects to design integrated cloud solutions.
• Guide cloud migration initiatives, including application modernization and large-scale infrastructure transitions.
• Champion infrastructure as code, automation, DevOps, and cloud governance practices to improve efficiency and delivery.
• Evaluate architectural risks and develop mitigation strategies that support business continuity, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement in cloud performance, reliability, security, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field; advanced degree and cloud certifications preferred.
• Professional-level cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud technologies.
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformation and migration programs.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure operations, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, security, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, VMware, and containerized application platforms.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience developing high availability, disaster recovery, backup, retention, and resilience architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, vulnerability management, compliance standards, and security best practices.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, database technologies, and IT service management practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and executive-level recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
