Role Description

As a Senior C/Unix Batch Developer (Healthcare Claims) at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. Here are the details on the position:

• Help power critical healthcare claims solutions at Gainwell.
• Work on complex, high-impact systems, partner with technical leadership, solve meaningful production and integration challenges, and help modernize a platform that supports essential healthcare operations.
• Design, build, test, and support complex applications and batch solutions in a C, Unix/Linux, and Oracle environment.
• Own key technical deliverables across the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation through production support.
• Partner with technical leads and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex application, data, and integration issues with a focus on long-term stability and performance.
• Contribute to modernization, release readiness, and continuous improvement across a critical healthcare technology platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of development experience with C, Unix/Linux, Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Strong background delivering complex solutions in enterprise or legacy application environments.
• Experience with batch automation, production support, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Healthcare IT or claims processing experience is strongly preferred.
• Expertise with multiple claims bundling/editing software platforms is desired.

Requirements

• Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States.
