Role Description

You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing business systems and applications that enable operational efficiency and business impact. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions, while contributing to capability roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives. You will partner closely with operational teams to establish best practices, enhance system observability, and promote sustainable engineering standards. You will also support team collaboration and provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers to strengthen technical capability and drive excellence across the team.

• Design, configure and/or develop, deploy, optimize, monitor and improve systems and business applications.
• Contribute to capability roadmaps and conduct technology research for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and deliverables.
• Define nonfunctional requirements in accordance with Engineering best practices (Security, reliability, performance, etc.).
• Partner with administration and operational teams to improve key service practices.
• Document debt and waste.
• Develop sustainable feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Build sustainable systems with monitoring and observability, with supportability in mind.
• Set standards for operating procedures and advise on best practices for engineers.
• Support team activities (daily status meetings, tech huddle topics, desk checks) and pair with peers to work on stories.
• Regularly evaluate current business processes, applications, systems, and identify potential improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of functional and technical experience with organizational hierarchy and foundational HCM data across core SAP systems including SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and ERP Central Component (ECC).
• 3+ years of functional and technical proficiency using Business Technology Platform - Cloud Platform Integration (BTP CPI) to seamlessly connect SAP and non-SAP systems, applications, and data sources across both cloud and on-premise environments.
• 3+ years of functional and technical proficiency using Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) to develop, customize, and extend applications within the SAP ecosystem, such as SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient ability to design, develop, test, and deploy applications/systems using proven technologies within a variety of technologies and environments.
• Knowledge of various programming languages and techniques.
• Experience with the application and a willingness to bring forward ideas and methodologies to mature quality engineering principles.
• Proficient troubleshooting (within multiple systems) and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of embedded data analytics capabilities and understanding of key business data models.
