[Hiring] Senior Android Developer @EPAM

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to build and evolve native mobile applications with a strong focus on Android. You will collaborate across product, design, QA, and iOS partners to deliver reliable, high-performance features.

• Design high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Android best practices
• Build new features in partnership with product, design, QA, and engineering peers
• Define mobile architecture decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code that meets engineering standards
• Develop unit tests and improve automated test coverage to increase reliability
• Review code to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards
• Troubleshoot defects, stability issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Monitor app performance and optimize user experience
• Collaborate with iOS counterparts to align architecture, UX, and development practices
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows to support efficient and reliable releases
• Participate in technical discussions and promote engineering best practices
• Mentor junior engineers through guidance and constructive feedback

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java
• Experience developing and shipping native mobile applications with strong Android focus
• Proven experience contributing to mobile architecture decisions for scalability and performance
• Mentorship and code review experience with ability to guide junior engineers
• Agile delivery experience working in cross-functional teams
• Strong software engineering knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and mobile architecture
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams

Requirements

• Nice to have CI/CD pipeline experience for mobile release automation
• Experience with observability, analytics, and performance monitoring for mobile apps
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI
