[Hiring] Security Architect @VARITE

Role Description

• Design, develop, and test secure integration solutions leveraging Python, Java, JSON, Web APIs (SOAP and REST), and application connectivity within AWS and Azure AD environments.
• Collaborate with SecOps and Identity Management teams to enhance security capabilities, ensuring high reliability, availability, and performance of applications.
• Perform code reviews, optimize platforms for scalability, and address security-related fixes or backlog items.
• Utilize analytical skills to create technical solutions that align with security and identity management processes.
• Provide operational support, troubleshoot production issues, and leverage monitoring tools like Sumo Logic and AWS CloudWatch for log aggregation and auditing.
• Translate business and security requirements into technical specifications, ensuring secure data interactions with SQL and Snowflake.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in clear, understandable terms.
• Guide and mentor team members to enhance their technical capabilities and drive productivity in the SecOps and Identity Management space.
• Ensure compliance with security and process standards, participating in technical discussions and reviews.
• Develop secure, scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available application architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development and integration, with 3+ years working in AWS and Azure environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JSON, Web APIs (SOAP and REST), and integrating/connecting applications across platforms.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity and access management, including integration with enterprise applications.
• Understanding of OWASP Security Coding Guidelines and tools for identifying security vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of Cloud Native Security Services like AWS Security Hub or Azure Defender.
• Familiarity with Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud or similar identity and access management platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong experience with SQL and working with data platforms like Snowflake for data mining and analytics.
• Knowledge of log aggregation and monitoring tools, preferably Sumo Logic, for security and operational insights.
• Expertise in designing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant application architectures, with a focus on API security, authentication, authorization, and message/transport-level security.
• Experience with end-to-end design of secure applications, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, and familiarity with UML for creating related artifacts.
• Proficiency in understanding DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
• Strong understanding of Services-Oriented Architecture, RESTful Architecture, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and Route 53.
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker, AWS ECR, ECS, or Fargate.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform for building secure components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in Agile, Scrum, and iterative development practices.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and solutions in the SecOps and Identity Management domains.
• Experience integrating security-focused applications with platforms like AWS and Azure would be a big plus.

Requirements

• Production Mortgage Industry Experience.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure Developer/Security Certification or equivalent cloud certifications.
• Experience with MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform for integration.
• Knowledge of additional security frameworks or identity management tools.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech, M.C.A.
