Role Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration (PI/PO & ABAP) Lead Consultant to design, develop, implement, and support integrations across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and non-SAP applications. The consultant will provide hands-on technical expertise in SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO), Object-Oriented ABAP, IDocs, ABAP proxies, and OData services.

The role will support end-to-end integration solutions for SAP Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Finance processes. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills, experience with multiple integration protocols and adapters, and the ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain SAP PI/PO interfaces connecting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and non-SAP applications.
• Build and support end-to-end integrations using IDocs, ABAP proxies, OData services, and other SAP integration technologies.
• Configure message mappings, interface routing, communication channels, adapters, and monitoring processes.
• Develop and enhance ABAP programs using Object-Oriented ABAP principles.
• Implement and support IDoc enhancements, user exits, Business Add-Ins (BADIs), and other ABAP enhancement techniques.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAP PI/PO adapters and communication channels for various integration scenarios.
• Work with SFTP, JDBC, JMS, REST, SOAP, OData, and IDoc-based interfaces.
• Monitor interface processing, investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Apply ABAP and interface performance-tuning techniques to improve processing efficiency and reliability.
• Review technical designs and code to ensure adherence to development standards and integration best practices.
• Support Framework for Error Handling (FEH) and related error-handling and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and resolve integration issues.
• Prepare interface design specifications, technical documentation, operational procedures, and support documentation.
• Participate in technical design reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant SAP integration and ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO versions 7.4 and 7.5.
• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC with SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Strong Object-Oriented ABAP programming and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with IDocs, ABAP proxies, and OData interfaces.
• Experience developing and maintaining user exits, BADIs, and other ABAP enhancements.
• Strong understanding of SAP PI/PO architecture and interface development.
• Practical experience with SFTP, JDBC, JMS, REST, SOAP, OData, and IDoc adapters or communication methods.
• Experience with message mapping, routing, communication channel configuration, and interface monitoring.
• Knowledge of Framework for Error Handling (FEH).
• Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis skills.
• Integration experience supporting SAP MM, SD, WM, and Finance business processes.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting complex enterprise SAP integration landscapes.
• Exposure to SAP integration modernization or migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with interface testing, transport management, release processes, and production support.
• Experience providing technical guidance, reviewing development work, and coordinating integration deliverables.
