[Hiring] SAP HANA Developer @EPAM Systems

Role Description

We're looking for an SAP HANA Developer to join our team in Portugal in a remote working mode. In this role, you will design and maintain advanced data models, pipelines and backend solutions using SAP HANA and modern SAP technologies. Your work will enable scalable, optimized systems that support complex business processes and high-impact analytics for manufacturing, engineering and operations.

• Design, develop and optimize SAP HANA native models, including Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures and SQLScript
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration from SAP and non-SAP systems such as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
• Collaborate with teams to design scalable data architectures supporting analytics and operational reporting
• Develop end-to-end workflows ensuring data quality, monitoring and issue resolution
• Deliver custom analytics and KPIs powered by SAP HANA to enhance business processes
• Optimize performance for large datasets and ensure efficient data processing
• Work closely with engineers, analysts and architects to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
• Participate in Agile workflows, planning and retrospectives for iterative delivery
• Document technical best practices and maintain process consistency across solutions

Qualifications

• Must have: SAP HANA Cloud and SAPUI5 expertise
• Proven expertise in SAP HANA native modeling, including Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures and SQLScript
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows in SAP environments
• Familiarity with integrating SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and related systems into data flows
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and database tuning for large-scale datasets
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development or similar SAP-focused roles
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with a collaborative approach
