Role Description

As a Salesforce Developer at JumpCloud, you will take ownership of the technical solutions that power our business. Based in India, you will be responsible for the cross-system design, integration architecture, and long-term health of our Salesforce platform and its connections to the wider system landscape. You will tackle complex technical challenges, from high-volume data migrations to intricate debugging, ensuring our systems are scalable, maintainable, and robust.

What you’ll be doing:

• Architect and Design Solutions: Lead design conversations and propose specifications for components, interfaces, and services that span multiple systems.
• Lead Complex Projects: Take on a Tech or Feature Lead role for projects involving multiple enterprise systems or complex integrations.
• Develop and Innovate: Find innovative solutions to complex system problems, such as high-volume data migration or synchronization.
• Own System Quality and Performance: Champion quality throughout the team by unit testing comprehensively across internal systems.
• Accelerate and Elevate with AI: Employ AI-powered tools to boost development velocity and enhance quality assurance.
• Proactively Improve Systems: Take an ownership stake in the work of your entire team by creating automated tasks and ensuring data quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and declarative automation tools.
• A strong grasp of multiple systems in our landscape (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft) and their interdependencies.
• Proven ability to design for scalability and long-term maintainability of integration layers and system architecture.
• Experience leading the debugging of complex, unexpected cross-system behaviors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for a global, asynchronous team.
• An ownership mindset, with a proactive approach to finding and solving problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Salesforce Certifications: Holding certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder is a huge plus.
• Deep Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience navigating and testing core Salesforce features like Flows, Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Permission Sets, and Profiles.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Tools: Experience using tools like Salesforce Inspector or the Developer Console to troubleshoot data.
• Cloud-Specific Experience: Previous experience testing within Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Salesforce CPQ.
• Release Management Awareness: An understanding of Salesforce’s tri-annual release cycle and how to regression test against forced platform updates.
• Proficiency in writing SQL, SOQL, Salesforce reporting, Data Import, Postman.

Where you’ll be working/Location

This role is remote in the country of India. You must be located in and authorized to work in India to be considered for this role.
