[Hiring] Product Engineer, Mental Healthcare @Lutra

Role Description

This role involves product engineering for a leading clinical practice software for mental healthcare providers.

• Develop and ship high-quality, user-facing features (including LLM-backed services where appropriate) that improve clinician and admin workflows, owning work from discovery through delivery and iteration
• Build, debug, test, and document with AI in the loop by default and thoughtfully champion AI-augmented engineering practices
• Translate product goals into pragmatic technical designs, make solid tradeoffs, and keep the system clean, testable, and evolvable as the product scales
• Partner tightly with product, design, and engineering leadership in planning, refinement, and delivery; adapting team rituals and ways of working to align with emergent best practices surrounding AI-augmented development
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends; experiment with new tools and approaches to ensure that the team’s technology choices remain efficient, current, and well-suited to the mission and customer needs

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a strong track record shipping customer-facing product
• Experience designing APIs, modelling data, working with relational databases, and at least one modern frontend framework
• Experienced, opinionated advocate for AI-augmented development with a strong grasp of at least one contemporary tool (Claude Code, Augment Code, OpenCode, Cursor, etc)
• Contagious growth mindset and persistently seek opportunities to improve yourself, the team, products, and processes in a scaling business
• Excellent command of English

Requirements

• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Bonus: Previously served in a business that faces healthcare or other regulated industries
• Bonus: Experience building or scaling a B2B SaaS venture

Benefits

• Base pay range for this role is CA$120,000 – CA$150,000 per year
