[Hiring] Principal Software Engineer @KēSTA I.T.

Role Description

KēSTA I.T. is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to own the architecture and technical direction of a cloud communications product suite and lead its modernization to .NET 10. This is a fully remote role reporting directly to the CEO.

• Set architecture across backend services and Angular and Blazor front ends.
• Decide what gets built and how it is layered.
• Lead the move from .NET Framework WebForms to modern ASP.NET Core and from .NET 8 to .NET 10.
• Design and build new product capabilities end-to-end, including:
  • Partner-facing REST API with OAuth
  • MCP server
  • Voice-agent host using the OpenAI Realtime API
  • Distributor marketplace integrations
• Work with a team of 5-7 engineers, including offshore engineers in Spain.
• Review every pull request and mentor engineers.
• Hold the quality bar with unit tests, integration tests, and browser tests.
• Administer GitHub and Azure DevOps organizations.
• Cover CI/CD pipelines as needed.
• Act as a light, shared second-line escalation for production regressions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and running production software in C# and .NET.
• Experience designing the architecture of a multi-service system.
• Fluency in both .NET Framework and modern ASP.NET Core.
• Full stack development experience across backend and front end.
• Deep relational database skill across SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and versioning REST APIs.
• Comfort on Linux and Windows.
• Experience administering a GitHub organization and Azure DevOps organization.
• Ability to read, change, and debug YAML pipelines.
• 1 to 2 years of daily use of agentic coding tools.
• Experience leading code review for a team.
• Experience writing automated tests.
• Ability to work independently and fully remote.
• Docker experience.

Requirements

• Angular (TypeScript) and Blazor.
• Proxmox or any KVM hypervisor, Redis, Docker, S3-compatible storage, Azure Key Vault.
• Experience building MCP servers or LLM-integrated features.
• Telephony experience (3CX, SIP, VoIP); training is provided.
• Managed service provider industry experience, or PSA tools such as ConnectWise.
• Experience working with contributors in other time zones.
