Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture and Consulting
    • Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business objectives, engineering processes, compliance needs, and existing systems.
    • Define Polarion solution architectures, implementation roadmaps, and configuration standards.
    • Design requirements management, test management, defect management, change control, and end-to-end traceability processes.
    • Establish approaches for project structures, reusable templates, baselines, permissions, reporting, and governance.
    • Advise customers on standard capabilities, configuration, and custom development, balancing business value with long-term maintainability.
  • Implementation and Integration
    • Lead and perform Polarion configuration, customization, deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.
    • Design and oversee integrations with Teamcenter, development tools, test automation platforms, and other enterprise systems.
    • Define data migration strategies, including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
    • Develop or oversee extensions, scripts, reports, and dashboards using supported Polarion interfaces and development methods.
    • Address performance, scalability, availability, security, and operational support requirements with customer IT teams.
    • Diagnose complex technical issues and lead resolution through testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Technical and Delivery Leadership
    • Serve as the technical authority for Polarion engagements, maintaining alignment between requirements, architecture, and delivered functionality.
    • Develop technical estimates, implementation plans, assumptions, and scope for proposals and statements of work.
    • Identify dependencies, delivery risks, and architectural decisions early in the project.
    • Review solution designs and implementation quality; mentor consultants and developers.
    • Create reusable implementation assets, technical documentation, and delivery standards.
    • Support customer demonstrations, technical presales discussions, training, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in ALM, software engineering tools, or enterprise systems implementation, including substantial hands-on Polarion experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Polarion architecture and implementation across multiple customer engagements or complex enterprise programs.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, verification and validation, configuration management, and lifecycle traceability.
  • Experience configuring Polarion workflows, work items, documents, permissions, templates, and reporting.
  • Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, scripting, and software development; proficiency in Java and relevant web technologies.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear recommendations for business leaders, engineers, and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong consulting, documentation, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience integrating Polarion with Siemens Teamcenter and supporting digital thread initiatives.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense, automotive, medical devices, energy, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with applicable safety, quality, and development standards and how lifecycle tools support compliance evidence.
  • Experience with enterprise deployment, authentication, disaster recovery, and controlled or restricted environments.
  • Relevant Siemens Polarion training or certifications.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and technical leadership.
  • Exposure to Siemens technologies and innovative digital transformation projects.
  • Access to customers across aerospace, defense, industrial, automotive, and high-tech manufacturing.
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • A culture focused on innovation, customer success, and technical excellence.
