[Hiring] Perl Developer @Poland and Central-Eastern Europe

Role Description

You will be:

• Developing and maintaining medium to large-scale applications using Perl.
• Designing and implementing solutions based on OOP, MVC, and established design patterns.
• Building and maintaining APIs and integrations using JSON and XML.
• Working with relational databases and ORM.
• Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Contributing to CI/CD processes and supporting continuous delivery.
• Collaborating with the team throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development across the full software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience developing medium to large-scale Perl applications.
• Knowledge of web-based MVC frameworks such as Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC, and design patterns.
• Experience working with JSON/XML APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with ORM tools and database integration.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
• Focus on writing well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Good command of English (min. B2).

Requirements

• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
