Role Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (iOS) on the 3D Home Capture team, you'll join a collaborative group dedicated to empowering photographers to efficiently capture, manage, and deliver the high-quality media assets and data that power Zillow's 3D tours, floor plans, and SkyTours. This team makes Zillow's listings more interactive and visually engaging, directly supporting Zillow's mission to redefine the home shopping journey and help users make confident decisions.

Home Capture is a cross-platform team inventing new ways to capture dense data. How do you accurately map an entire home using only the device in your pocket? Our technology now generates dimensionally accurate, interactive floor plans from phone sensors alone. Producing them is hard; producing them at scale is a separate problem. We work with partner teams across imaging pipelines, machine learning, computer vision, and low-level phone sensor data such as LiDAR, and we integrate data from 360 cameras and drones.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (iOS), you'll:

• Own features end to end on the app photographers use in the field every day.
• Design and ship components of the capture experience.
• Partner with backend, Android, design, product, and ML engineers to deliver a coherent product.
• Contribute to the architectural decisions that shape how the app scales.
• Your work reaches the listings that millions of home shoppers browse.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance, and location.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of iOS development experience, including the release process.
• Strong Swift and SwiftUI skills.
• Ability to design and implement testable, maintainable mobile code.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines (backend, Android, web, design, product, ML) to deliver cohesive product experiences.
• A record of delivering high-quality code on schedule.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Authorized to work in Mexico.
