[Hiring] Middle Node.js Engineer @Avenga

Role Description

In Argentina, we’re looking for a Middle-Strong Node.js Engineer to join a strategic financial services project. In this role, you will take technical ownership of evolving existing backend systems into a resilient, highly available, and low-latency multi-region AWS environment. You will work on complex distributed systems, help shape technical decisions, and collaborate closely with Web, Mobile, and Product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving architectural challenges, building scalable cloud solutions, and independently driving initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with expert proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid experience building and operating cloud-native, high-availability, multi-region solutions on AWS, including Amazon EKS and Kubernetes
• Deep expertise in event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL), Clean Architecture, design patterns, and maintainable coding practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with Web, Mobile, Product Owners, and other technical stakeholders
• Native Spanish and intermediate English

Requirements

• Experience in high-scale, high-transaction, or fintech environments, including legacy-system modernization and migration to cloud-native AWS architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Knowledge of distributed-system observability, monitoring, logging, incident management, and engineering best practices such as code reviews and technical documentation
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, or contributing to engineering standards
