[Hiring] Mid-Level Java Backend Developer @Talan

Role Description

We are looking for a Mid-Level Java Backend Developer to join a technology-driven team working on the design, development, and evolution of modern microservices-based applications. You will contribute to scalable backend solutions, collaborate with frontend teams using React, and participate in cloud-native deployments leveraging OpenShift and containerized environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and consume REST APIs following best practices.
• Develop microservices-based solutions and contribute to system scalability.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate applications in OpenShift environments.
• Collaborate with React frontend teams to ensure seamless service integration.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support continuous integration activities.
• Analyze incidents and propose performance, scalability, and security improvements.
• Work within Agile teams following Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend development with Java.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience working with microservices architectures.
• Experience with Cassandra databases.
• Knowledge of Docker containers and OpenShift platforms.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience using Git version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Requirements

• Frontend development experience with React (Nice to Have).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions (Nice to Have).
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) (Nice to Have).
