Mendix Developer (Low‑Code Developer)

Build modern applications that support behavioral health and recovery organizations

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Mendix Developer role. You will help design, develop, and maintain low-code applications using the Mendix platform. You will work closely with experienced developers, product owners, and business teams to build scalable solutions that support healthcare and behavioral health organizations. We are looking for someone who is motivated by meaningful work and wants to contribute to a platform that makes a real difference for the organizations and communities we serve.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing Mendix features, customizing applications to meet customer requirements, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure application performance and reliability. You will also participate in testing, documentation, and continuous learning as Mendix tools and platform capabilities evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mendix pages, microflows, and domain models
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement application features
• Customize solutions based on user and business requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and help resolve technical problems
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities
• Document development work and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve product capabilities
• Continuously learn Mendix tools, platform updates, and development best practices

Qualifications

• Knowledge of low‑code platforms or application development, particularly Mendix, with eagerness to expand low‑code development skills
• Understanding of programming fundamentals and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to translate requirements into practical technical solutions
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Mendix or other low‑code platforms
• Experience with building COTS/SaaS solutions
• Exposure to HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git or version control
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Familiarity with healthcare, medical claims/billing, addiction recovery, or behavioral health systems
