[Hiring] Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack @GrowthZone

Role Description

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our engineering team at GrowthZone — someone who is equally comfortable writing code and enabling others to do their best work. This is a senior technical lead role, not a people-management position. You'll drive projects forward, mentor engineers around you, and help shape the direction of our platform — all while staying close to the work itself.

• Work through complex architectural decisions.
• Unblock teammates on tricky backend problems.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with product and design.
• Own the technical vision for your domain.
• Align technical vision with business goals.
• Drive down tech debt and improve engineering quality.
• Coach engineers and guide design reviews.
• Build a culture of ownership and idea sharing.

This role also puts you in a position to influence how GrowthZone builds software at scale. You'll be involved in upstream planning conversations, help define practices that extend beyond your immediate team, and have real runway to grow your impact as our engineering organization evolves.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading scrum teams.
• Track record of driving delivery, mentoring others, and growing technical scope.
• Deep proficiency in .NET Core with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and SQL Server.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Frontend fluency in jQuery, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern JavaScript framework.
• Solid grasp of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Experience working with nearshore or offshore development teams (Nice to Have).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Node.js, or Redis (Nice to Have).
• Exposure to SPA frameworks and modern caching strategies (Nice to Have).
• Experience shaping team practices around AI-assisted development (Nice to Have).
